JH: Supposedly New York is one of the most expensive cities in the world. And yes, my jaw has dropped at the sight of some of my restaurant tabs. But even frugal moi can’t understand how it’s possible to have such an awesome meal at Vanessa’s Dumpling House for such a low price. Is Vanessa a secret millionaire who makes dumplings for pure pleasure, not monetary gain? If I’m right, it’s all the more reason to thank her for some of the best, most inspired dumplings in this city. And don’t forget to have the sesame pancake sandwich, which is akin to a chewy Asian panino, and did I mention, cheap?!
