Throughout the year, many New Yorkers prepare for what seems to be one the wildest and brightest holiday celebrations in the area. Celebrating its 39th annual parade in New York City, the Village Halloween Parade this year is sure to be spectacular. This public participatory event guarantees an exciting night for both tourists and locals.
Over 50,000 people attend the Village Halloween Parade each year, and anyone in costume is eligible to join the hundreds of puppets, over 50 different bands, dancers, artists, and more on a parade of color and creativity through New York. The parade is held on October 31 every year, and begins at 7, usually lasting until 10. The plethora of participants keeps the parade going for multiple hours.
Be creative! At the Village Halloween Parade everyone is on the lookout for the most creative costume during the parade down 6th Avenue. The only entrance to the parade is on 6th Ave. from the East and South between Canal and Spring. Make sure to consider stopping through during your New York Halloween adventure!
